AMBASSADORS (2) finished second at Gold Coast Poly two runs back but didn't measure up last time over 1300m at Barcaldine, finishing 3.5 lengths back in sixth. Gets a stack of weight relief with the 3kg claim and is a likely improver with strong winning prospects. SCHMOOZER (1) wasn't far away last time out, finishing second over 1300m at Barcaldine. The extra journey should play into his hands and is sure to be thereabouts. SHOALWATER BAY (4) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start when over 1586m at Quilpie, beaten 4 lengths into fifth. Finds the right race this time and can turn things around. NOTACLUEHOWORWHO (7) was a long way back last start but hit the line well to finish fifth, beaten 4 lengths, over 1400m at Rockhampton. Well placed here over the mile and is among the top-three chances. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Ambassadors.
