Strong early tempo with Pump The Pedals driving forward from a wide gate with Paramount Plus also handy. SOUNDWAVE (8) returned last time with a solid second at Hamilton over 1200m when he did his best work late. Fitter now and profiles very well, looks very hard to hold out. PARAMOUNT PLUS (5) on a synthetic surface for the first time. Beaten a nose when runner-up on his return from a break last start at Geelong over 1100m and can come on from that, big danger. ASTROPARTICAL (10) made an encouraging debut last time out, finishing 3.5 lengths from the winner in fifth over 1100m at Bendigo. Has natural upside and should give a bold sight up on speed.
