A solid tempo is on the cards with Capricorn Star and Intimeofneed pushing for the lead ahead of Princess Mess and Proven Soul. PRINCESS MESS (5) made it two wins in succession last start when she scored by 1.75 lengths over 1300m at Stawell. Takes beating again, especially with the main danger coming out this morning. PROVEN SOUL (8) progressed nicely second up and finished just 0.8 lengths from the winner in second over 1200m at Seymour. Should be peaking now and has winning claims. CHOCOLATE BOX (3) was returning from a break last time out and proved too classy, scoring by a head over 1200m at Pakenham. Has a solid second-up record and must be respected. CAPRICORN STAR (1) should roll forward and give a sight third up and ready to peak with the 3kg claimer engaged. SUGGESTED PLAY: Princess Mess to win.
