General Redwood can take up the running at what looks a moderate tempo on paper. DECISION LINK (5) stepped up to 1650m last time out and was very impressive when getting the job done as an odds-on favourite. The starting price there is a big indicator to the opinion of him and this looks to set up similarly. Moreira sticks and he can go back-to-back. THE AZURE (6) flew over the top to score over this track and trip last time out, winning by 0.3L. Purton has an unbeaten record when riding this gelding and the wide draw doesn't hurt his chances. Will get back but launch a strong attack late. YOUNG BRAVO (2) comes here on the fresh side with two trials under his belt, the most recent heat a solid trial over 1600m at Conghua. Best form is good enough to return to winning ways. GENERAL REDWOOD (1) got there right at the post last time out and draws a better gate this time. Can't be left out as he continues to raise the bar.
