Good early pressure with France's Boy or Sam's Reward likely to take up the running. Tough race but WHITCHETY GRUB (11) looks ready to win third-up for the new stable. Drops in grade after a solid run behind a smart horse in town last start and only carries half a kilogram above the minimum in this. Can settle on speed and 1600m looks perfect. ASTRODEAN (2) comes out of the same race at Morphettville last start and his prior form looks good enough to think he can run a cheeky race here. FLYING ASSASSIN (4) looks suited back to 1600m and, while he will concede a start, he will be finishing the race off well. PRANCING COUNTESS (8) and SPIRIT OF FLIGHT (5) both did enough last start to have admirers in this. SUGGESTED PLAY: Whitchety Grub to win.
