Genuine tempo with Deserve leading the way. DESERVE (6) displayed plenty of early toe over 1400m at Mizusawa last time and defied all challengers to score by 3 lengths. Must raise the bar but he has the ability to test this field. ORIENTAL MAC (10) is poised to win after placing at his last three outings, most recently when third over 1400m at Mizusawa when he was prominent throughout. Well placed and there is no reason he cannot find winning ways. MIYAGI EXPRESS (8) started at $3.80 last time and ran below expectations, finishing sixth and beaten 11 lengths at Mizusawa over 1400m. Likely improver with strong prospects. DRAKE (7) produced a moderate effort last start when 20 lengths from the winner in seventh over 1400m at Mizusawa but this suits an no surprise to see him in the frame.
