Good pressure from the outset with Erase, Lae Zee and Air Dancer taking up the running over Empressive and Los Salsero. LOS SALSERO (3) ran on nicely late when running into third place at Te Rapa just over 3 weeks ago, and that form will hold up nicely in this easier assignment. He has a superior gate this time, and is ready to run another race. On top. ERASE (4) has been mixing his form since winning his maiden on the poly track at Cambridge in early June. He is nicely placed in this field after a 3kg claim, and if he can find the lead early on, then he would take plenty of pegging back. ROMANIN (7) was an overdue maiden winner at Awapuni-synthetic 3 starts back, and after 2 more modest efforts, she is worth another chance. AIR DANCER (2) was less than a length from the winner in fourth place as the favourite at Awapuni-synthetic just over 2 weeks ago, and he should be very competitive again. EMPRESSIVE (5) caught the eye second up when finishing on late for sixth at Avondale a month ago, and from a handy gate she can figure in the top 3 this time. SUGGESTED PLAY: Los Salsero can take this out.
