Plenty of early speed with Apic Run, Casan Geal and Bentley Brook all in the firing line. BOOMSONG (1) was well-supported at Warwick Farm first-up but didn't handle the heavy track. Steps back in grade and he's won and placed in stronger than this. Uses the rail and is proven on the fresh side. The blinkers go back on. BENTLEY BROOK (5) was disadvantaged by a heavy surface here last time but three back won a 58 this track/trip by 4L, before a narrow defeat in a Canberra 60. Maps for the run of the race and keeps Heywood. Expect a bounce. APIC RUN (6) had been well trialled and led here on debut and wasn't headed. Ran a decent figure and will have come on. Penza stays aboard. STUPENDO (2) switched from a Victorian barn and was beaten a lip at Wagga in a CL3 turning his form around. Has more weight but will be right in the finish if he holds the form. SUGGESTED PLAY: Leaning to Boomsong.
