Good early pace headed by Diamond Ring, Royal Commission and Sacred Order, with Sirius and Star Victory in their slipstream. CHEVAL MAGNIFIQUE (4) did his best work late and finished 1.5 lengths from the winner in fifth over 1200m at this track last start, a similar effort to his fourth at this track the run before. Finds a nice race and can play a significant role. SACRED ORDER (6) turned in a handy position before finishing second last start over 1100m at this track, beaten a neck as favourite. Going up a level this time but she has the ability to figure prominently. ROYAL COMMISSION (1) had been racing consistently with three top-two finishes on end prior to finishing fifth most recently over 1200m on turf. One of the main contenders back on his preferred surface. DIAMOND RING (8) has a moderate winning strike-rate but performed well last time at this track, finishing second and only a neck from the winner at the end of 1000m. Expect a bold display.
