Turned in a solid fresh performance last start when a minor placegetter over 2100m at Listed level at this track, beaten 1.5 lengths. Has a very strong second-up record, including two wins, and should be better for that first-up run. Winning chance. MAPLE RIDGE (8) could only manage fifth last start over 1900m in the G3 Heian Stakes at Kyoto Dirt, beaten 2 lengths. Has a terrific record here with two wins and two placings from four starts. Likely to feature. ORO Y PLATA (16) was ridden quietly then picked up fairly well in the straight and finished 7 lengths away in 11th last time out over 1900m at Kyoto Dirt when resuming from a spell. Steps up in journey today and rates among the chances. MYSTIC LORE (12) was well fancied when resuming last start and proved too strong, scoring by a neck over 1900m at Kyoto Dirt. Generally runs well second-up and he can measure up again.
