Keen tempo headed by the fleet-footed Lord Ley Line. LORD LEY LINE (1) showed good pace and went on to score comfortably last time out over 1600m at this track. Steps up a level but he is up to the task. KAR SMOKY (3) displayed plenty of early toe over 1400m at this track last time and defied all challengers to score by a neck. Needs to be at his best to beat this field but he has the ability to mix it with them. SCALLYWAG (5) is in fine form, filling a minor placing again last start here to make it six top-three finishes on the trot. Shuji Akaoka who has six wins when partnering stays on. Sure to be competitive. PARADIS (6) was safely held in tougher grade two back then appreciated the easier grade last time when second at this track. Better run latest and looks well placed again. Is a winning chance on best form.
