Reasonable tempo with a few going forward, headed by Rational Point. RATIONAL POINT (10) ran below expectations last time after being prominent on the turn at Hakodate Dirt, finishing sixth and beaten 9 lengths starting at $3.60. Hard to beat in this suitable race. DERMA ZAO (13) is building towards a maiden win after minor placings at her last two runs, the latest when second over 1700m at Fukushima Dirt, beaten a nose. Sure to be prominent. CABO FRIO (15) finished sixth two runs back then improved last start but found a couple better over 1800m at this track, beaten only 1.3 lengths. Well placed and there is no reason she cannot find winning ways. ISA CHIL QUEEN (1) closed last prep with a fifth over 1800m at Nakayama Dirt on January 18. Worth noting that she opened the last campaign with a minor placing at Nakayama Dirt over 1800m. A solid return is anticipated.
