A solid tempo on the cards with Placid Rom heading them off. ANY QUESTIONS (1) was solid from the back in his WA debut, missing by 2.9L after going back from the wide alley. Out to 1400m is a good sign and now drawing inside can see him closer in the run. NSW form stacks up and he can land the knockout blow. PLACID ROM (2) is a two-start maiden who was unplaced on debut then improved to finish second last time over 1200m at this track, beaten half a length. Has the speed to overcome the draw. Great chance to break through. COSTA STAR (4) finished seventh two runs back then improved last start but found a couple better over 1200m at this track, beaten just 1.5 lengths. Another forward showing is anticipated.RADIO SILENCE (6) is a talented mare who tackled a tougher race at her last run on April 1 and finished eighth behind Wonderfully Made over 2400m in the G3 WA Oaks at Ascot. Blinkers come off; expected to be competitive. WINLOSEWEDRINKBOOZ (3) finds a suitable race today. SUGGESTED PLAY: Any Questions can win the opener.
