PINKERTON (1) has been racing well on the flat since finishing second when making his hurdle debut at Trentham in June. He has won 3 times on this course, and back over the jumps, he is the one to beat. COMEDY (2) failed to fire on the flat at Hawera last week when having a nice hit-out before returning to the hurdling caper. Expect a lot better in this. Each way. PINKER (4) makes his jumping debut for Kevin Myers, and you know that he will be well schooled. He won't lack fitness, and is sure to be ready to run a big race. ISLAND HOP (3) has trialled since being pulled up at Trentham a couple of months ago. He is capable in this role, and is worth each-way consideration. ROCKING LIGHT (5) ran a better race for fourth on the flat 16 days ago on the Awapuni poly track, and if he can improve his jumping as much, then he is not the worst in this. SUGGESTED PLAY: Pinkerton, Comedy, and Island Hop will make up the quinella.
