Good speed from The Tumbling Paddy, Scipio and Platinum Patch. THE DARZI (3) has been finding the line nicely in all of his 4 starts to date, and the extra 200m will make all the difference here. Craig Grylls is a positive jockey change, and he is the one to beat in this. PLATINUM PATCH (2) ran into some form when finishing second as the favourite at Cambridge nearly 3 weeks ago at her poly track debut. He is bred to relish the longer trip here, and he can go one better. ESCAPE ROOM (1) made up plenty of late ground at Ruakaka just over a fortnight ago, and he is another having his first run over a middle distance. He is an improving type with winning claims in this. WAVE RULER (4) fought on gamely for third in a 6-horse field at Tauranga 5 weeks ago, and he has the breeding to excel over a longer trip for the first time. Each way. SUGGESTED PLAY: The Darzi can win this.
