Not a big field but many face the starter for the first time so the pace should be genuine. ZING TO ME (3) encouraging debut last August when hitting the line strongly from the wide gate to secure second over 1000m at Hawkesbury in fast time. Had plenty up the sleeve in her two trial wins and regular rider sticks. No excuses from the good gate. JIMMY RECARD (5) another who resumes from a lengthy break. Kicked off in a strong contest when a fading eighth over 1000m in the LR Debutante Stakes at Caulfield. Given the one trial in readiness and expected to have strengthened over the break. JUST LEGENDARY (6) Justify gelding from Stockton Abbey on debut for the Waterhouse & Bott yard. Fitted with the two good trial wins and the blinkers go on. Gets his chance. DAME DIVIDEND (7) is a well-bred filly by Capitalist from top race mare Hurtle Myrtle on debut for the Matt Smith yard. Has the two even trials in readiness for this and gets in light with Bourke's claim. SUGGESTED PLAY: Zing To me to shed her maiden status.
