CITY OF KARRATHA LADIES DAY BRACELET 1103m
Several of these have good gate speed so a strong tempo is expected. BARTIME (4) missed the placings two runs back then didn't feature last start when seventh over 1200m at Port Hedland. On the quick turnaround today and draws ideally with no weight on his back. Has the ability to take this out. FAVOURED SON (5) scored by a long neck two back at this track then filled a placing last time at this track. Nice weight drop for this. Has a win and three minor placings at this journey from five starts and is expected to be in the finish. THE COOLAKIN KING (3) showed good early speed and raced on the pace last start before fading to finish sixth over 1400m at Carnarvon. Among the chances. GALAXY AFFAIR (1) saluted two runs ago then turned in a decent effort last time out when sixth over 1200m at Port Hedland, beaten 3 lengths. Finds a suitable race and can play a major role. BORDER CONTROL (2) rounds out the field. SUGGESTED PLAY: Bartime can get the job done. |

EZ PLANT HIRE - YOUR PROJECT, OUR EQUIPMENT MAIDEN 1103m
Leafice is expected to lead at a slick tempo. LEAFICE (6) is back after a break of 12 weeks. Started the last campaign impressively when in the placings over 1100m at Bunbury. Now under the care of new trainer Dean Cocivera. Should be hard to stop. MARITIME DREAM (7) is yet to break through after seven career starts. Could only manage to finish fourth last time out over 1200m at Port Hedland following a minor placing at Carnarvon when fresh from a spell the run prior. Should be in the mix. DARK OPAL (4) finished fourth last start over 1103m at this track after racing on the pace for much of the way. Among the chances. RAY'S SAUCE (1) was in contention on the corner and finished third last time over 1300m at Port Hedland, beaten 4 lengths. Placed to advantage so expect a forward showing. LIKES TO CHANT (5) is third-up today and an improved run is on the cards. SUGGESTED PLAY: Leafice looks the one to beat. |

GO WEST KARRATHA - MAKING EVERY JOURNEY POSSIBLE HANDICAP 1103m
Reasonable tempo with Sansanee probably leading but a few others should keep her honest. DAWN RETREAT (5) produced a reasonable effort to finish 1.75 lengths away in fourth last start over 1205m at this track when he did his best work late. That followed a first-up win at this track. Has his share of talent. Hard to beat in this suitable race. DENVER AFFAIR (3) is putting together some solid results. Finished second at Port Hedland two starts back then got the job done by half a length as favourite last time out over 1103m at this track. Suitably placed so anticipating another big run. KIA ORA TATOU (4) was second up last start and went close, beaten a long neck into third at this track over 1205m. Should be nearing his peak at this stage of the campaign. HOPE TO ADMIRE (6) was responsible for a better run last start, beaten 3 lengths into fourth over 1400m at Port Hedland. Capable of featuring prominently. ADRETT (2) is racing well without winning and has to be included. SUGGESTED PLAY: Dawn Retreat gets the nod. |

MURTI MURTI GROUP - FAST AND EFFICIENT HANDICAP 1611m
Strong tempo assured with Tousled Crown and Fries With That leading the way over Hundred Yards. TOUSLED CROWN (1) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1600m at Port Hedland, beaten 5 lengths into sixth after being prominent at the bend. Looks well placed so expect a big run this time. HUNDRED YARDS (4) showed early speed from a good draw last time and led until they straightened, eventually finishing fourth and beaten 2.5 lengths over 1600m at Port Hedland. Expected to be in this for a long way. FRIES WITH THAT (5) finds it hard to win but was in the finish last time when beaten 0.9 lengths into second over 1406m at this track. Has the pace to be in a prominent position from the outset. Sure to be competitive. GRUNDY THREE VOTES (3) was beaten 5.5 lengths into eighth at the second run back from a break in a 1205m contest at this track at his latest appearance. Has his share of ability and is a top-three prospect. BAY STREET (6) can improve third-up into the campaign. SUGGESTED PLAY: Tousled Crown can bounce back to her best. |

TRIPLE M - GOOD TIMES, GREATEST HITS HANDICAP 1406m
Expecting Imperialize to take up the lead at a genuine tempo. IMMORTAL SHIELD (4) did a great job to score by 0.9 lengths over this course and distance last start in a nice progression on the first-up run. Well placed and there is no reason he cannot repeat the dose. IMPERIALIZE (2) was in a different class last time, registering a dominant 2.5 lengths win over 1200m at Port Hedland to make it two on the bounce. Has good early speed so should take up a forward position. Among the leading chances. CHEDDAR BOB (3) produced a reasonable effort after being prominent at the corner to finish 2.5 lengths away in fourth last start over 1406m at this track. That followed a first-up win at this track. Has a good record at this course and distance, including two wins. Has his share of talent. Hard to beat in this suitable race. PUDDIN 'N' PIE (8) hit the frame two starts ago at this track but ran below par last time when seventh over 1400m at Port Hedland. Open to improvement and should be about the money. RED REBEL (1) can feature. SUGGESTED PLAY: Immortal Shield can repeat the dose. |

I LOVE YOU STEPHANIE - PILBARA HANDICAP 1813m
Genuine tempo from Granite Rock leading Crows. MAGIC MIKEY (6) progressed nicely last time out to finish just half a length from the winner in second over 1611m at this track after being prominent at the bend. Well placed and there is no reason he cannot find winning ways. REGINALD (1) built on a nice third two starts back at this track with success over 1611m at this track three weeks ago, getting home by half a length. Finds a suitable race and can play a major role. GRANITE ROCK (4) is a genuine type with two minor placings from three starts this prep. Produced another good effort at his most recent run when third over 1611m at this track after he was prominent throughout. Nicely placed to take this out. MR HOLLYWOOD (7) missed the placings two runs back then didn't do any better last start when ninth over 1600m at Carnarvon. Capable of featuring prominently. CROWS (3) is not to be discounted. SUGGESTED PLAY: Magic Mikey can win the last. |
