COLD BREW (2) talented gelding who failed to make it four wins in succession first-up with a narrow fourth over 1100m at this track. Well placed with the claim and he gets a better set-up for this. Top-three contender. COSY CORNER (10) has returned in good shape this preparation and deserves her place in town. Bounced off her good first-up third, with a fast-finishing victory over 1250m at Newcastle. Gets in light with the claim and not to be underestimated. PRESIDES (4) strengthened over the break and has the figures to win a race of this calibre. Winning apprentice sticks and has each-way prospects. MAFIA (1) shouldering the big weights well and will prove hard to get past from the low gate.  SUGGESTED PLAY: She Swings is expected to go close.

Surged late from near last on the turn with a close-up fifth over 1400m at this track. Leading apprentice retains the mount and a win looks imminent. GIAPPONESE (5) Ballina-trained colt with the upside to win this second-up. Found the 1350m too sharp first-up with a fast finishing fifth over 1350m at Doomben in BM70 grade. Comes to hand quickly and will need a good ride from the gate. Each way. HAMMOON SENSATION (4) racing well in this company and has the early gate speed to get across from the wide barrier. Anchored with the 58kg for a tenacious on-pace third from the inside gate over 1400m at this track. Stays in the calculations. SAINTLY SANDS (12) starting to hit her straps this prep after defeating inferior opposition by big margins. Senior rider hops on and can play a role today. 3 12:10 KIA ORA BLOODLINES TO HEADLINES HANDICAP 1100m
Cracking tempo with Gilette and Sneaky Pee Cee leading the way. BENEVAC (3) talented gelding who will relish the fast tempo and can get over the top of these third-up. Indicated he was ready to score a long overdue win when going under narrowly to finish second over 1100m at this track. Sticky gate no real concern and expected to go close. ALL THE WAY MAE (6) came to town third-up with a tough win in Midway class over this track and trip on a heavy surface. Gets a similar setup and should handle the 3kg weight increase. GORGEOUS (9) frustrating filly who gets a better set-up for this with the nose-roll coming off. Can race closer here and has the ability to take this out. STORMLAND (1) good fresh sprinter resuming. Lugging-bit goes on with the 3kg claim and wasn't pushed out in the two trials. Can make his presence felt late. JARRITO (7) improving filly starting to live up to the good pedigree. A keen contest with Namaste and Royal Flare leading from Big Papa. MAYBE MOET (17) back in class and ready to get the job done over the 1400m. Produced a solid set of figures from back in the field when a close-up fifth to Bella Corazon over 1300m here in BM78 grade. Looks to get a solid tempo and will prove hard to stop at the good odds. VIRGIL'S GIFT (12) has needed the two runs this time in and expected to go close with Wadick's 2kg claim. Was six weeks between runs when she held a forward position to finish a narrow third over 1400m at Randwick Kensington. Can slide over from the gate and play a leading role. CHERISH ME (3) stalked the speed and justified the good support with a determined victory over this trip at Randwick Kensington. Will benefit again with the 3kg claimer and looks to have further improvement. BIG PAPA (5) jumped in grade second-up when he demolished a good field over 1300m at this track with the 52.5kg. Tougher set-up today and place preferred. TARZING (6) progressive gelding who can go quickly through the grades this prep.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Maybe Moet each-way.

Solid tempo headed by Virgil's Gift and Miss Hades. SEQUISTA (10) frustrating filly unlucky not to have a few more wins on the CV. Warmed up late when sent north for a game seventh over 1200m in the LR Queensland Day Stakes at Eagle Farm. Should get the trip with the winning apprentice going back on. BELLA CORAZON (9) bounced off her good first-up third at Scone, with a well-deserved win over 1300m here with the 52kg last start. Gets a similar set-up today and expected to go close. SWIFTIE HARRIET (8) meets a few of these better at the weights after gripping on from the wide gate to finish a close-up third over 1300m at this track. Stalks the good tempo and can turn the tables. Each-way player.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Box Quinella 10,9,8,15.
6 01:55 RANVET STAYERS CUP 2400m
Looking for Black Run, Casual Connection and Centenario to press forward and set a solid tempo. KING PEDRO (9) hard fit for this and no excuses today out to the 2400m. Just over a month between runs when he loomed strongly to go under narrowly in a tight finish when second to Nobler over 2000m at this track. Can race a touch closer from the better gate with the key jockey change. PINHOLE (4) imported Frankel gelding who justified the favouritism fourth-up with a tough win over 2400m at Randwick Kensington. Drops in weight and can go on with it now. CASUAL CONNECTION (8) jumps in grade over his pet trip and won't know himself with the 52.5kg. Deep into the prep and looks great each-way value. SO SUAVE (14) good staying prospect heading in the right direction. Strong through the line when second over this trip at Randwick Kensington. Heavily supported in early betting and no shock to see him take this out. SOUNDS UNUSUAL (5) bred to get the trip and can take a hand in the finish fifth-up.  SUGGESTED PLAY: King Pedro in a competitive contest.
7 02:35 ROSEHILL BOWLING CLUB HANDICAP 1800m
Genuine pace with Existential Bob finding the front but it won't be a picnic with a few other speedy types engaged. HOVLAND (9) lightly raced Dundeel gelding heading in the right direction. Rewarded for his consistency third-up defeating inferior opposition with the 59.5kg over 1600m at Warwick Farm. Has won at the trip and gets an even better set-up for this. Can progress quickly this campaign. PERFECT PLAY (8) comes back 200m today after he worked hard early and showed a stack of grit for a handy third to Nobler at this track. Deep into the prep and Nock retains the ride. Genuine top-three contender. CONGRESSMAN (15) thrown in the deep end third-up with a respectable on-pace fourth over 1600m in the heavy going at Eagle Farm in the G3 Gunsynd. Can get over from the sticky gate and take a hand in the finish. INQUIRING MINDS (3) just over six-weeks between runs with a slashing fourth over 1500m at this track. Third-up record is strong and not to be overlooked. FORBIDDEN RIFF (12) gets in light with Stanley's 3kg claim and doesn't have to improve much to surprise some of his more fancied rivals.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Hovland each-way.
8 03:15 TAB W J MCKELL CUP 2000m
Moderate tempo with Know Thyself leading the way and a few others keeping in touch. GOD'S WINDOW (4) good wet tracker who stretches out to the 2000m for the first time this campaign. Kept up to the mark with a 1030m tick over trial. Placed in the LR Beauford last November. Expected to go close. ZAPHOD (6) has impressed in all three runs this time in and gets map favours for this. Loomed strongly when a narrow third in the LR Lord Mayor's Cup over this track and trip on a heavy surface. Races best with his runs spaced. Top-three contender. GOLDEN PATH (1) looks to get the right set-up for this and back in grade on his preferred surface. The early effort told late from the wide gate with a tiring fifth over 1800m at Eagle Farm in the G3 Lord Mayor's Cup. Respect. KNOW THYSELF (2) two runs back have been fair and will appreciate the sting out of the ground third-up. Untried over this journey and breeding suggests he can run the trip. Keep safe. TAVROS (11) in career best form and no shock to see him run into the placings.  SUGGESTED PLAY: God's Window and Zaphod shape as the two leading prospects.
9 03:50 SCHWEPPES HANDICAP 1200m
Solid tempo with Pokerjack possessing enough dash to find the front. SANCTIFIED (14) doesn't know how to run a bad race and gets the economical run from the low draw here. Had to work hard early and never surrendered in the straight with a game third over 1300m at this track. Back slightly in trip and shapes as a solid top-three player. EXIT FEE (15) strengthened over the break and all four runs in Highway class this prep have been sound. Proven at this level and maps well over his preferred trip. Will be strong late. COUPLES RETREAT (12) saluted at this track two runs back, then jumped in weight and failed to close off when eighth over 1100m at this track. Looking for the 1200m now and expected to go close with the good weight drop. STAGNUM (16) back from a lengthy spell and has a lethal fresh record. Rounded up inferior opposition first-up to score over 1300m at Randwick Kensington last October. Back with the two trials and Tyler Schiller sticks. Respect. READY TO SHINE (8) in career best form and stays in the calculations.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Sanctified and Exit Fee can fight it out.
10 04:30 PETALUMA HANDICAP 1500m
Genuine pace with No Drama finding the front but it won't be a picnic with a few other speedy types engaged. Tough race to end the day. SEVEN'S (17) meets similar opposition better at the weights third-up. Stalked the speed and knocked up late when third over this track and trip. Tongue-tie goes on and can hold a position from the draw. Ready to win. MAWJOOD (9) tough on-pace gelding racing in career best form. Senior rider hops back aboard after he got the job done here two-back. Can cruise across from the outside gate and figure prominently. YAM (15) consistent gelding who comes up from Wangaratta with genuine claims. Gave his all with the 60.5kg for a solid second over 1550m at Morphettville Parks in the heavy conditions. Maps well with the 3kg claimer and has top-three prospects. EMIRATE (14) turned things around last start after a month between runs to beat most of these over 1500m at this track. No reason he cannot repeat the dose. MR CHAPLIN (10) landed the plunge on his Australian debut over 1400m at Randwick. Can go on with it now from the low draw. The chances don't end there.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Seven's each way.
