Maiden Race 1700m
LOGI MAGGIE (9) was lining up for just the second time last start when third over 1800m at Nakayama Dirt, beaten 3.5 lengths. Coming along nicely and looks a great chance to break through this time. A SHIN KEEN RUN (6) returned from a spell last time with a solid third at this track over 1700m after being in contention on the corner. In the right race and is a winning hope. HOTEL STREET (10) was out of the money when resuming two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1700m at this track, beaten 5.5 lengths into fifth. Strips fitter and is capable of sharp improvement. EIYU SAKURA (2) raced once in the maiden preparation when seventh at Chukyo Dirt over 1400m back on December 21. Open to plenty of improvement this time in work. |

Has ability and is the one to beat in a race light on genuine chances. The clear danger is WITH A TWINKLE (8) who turned in a decent effort last start to finish third over 1600m at Nakayama after being in contention on the bend. Back on track so expect another big run. In the market at the last three runs so a win looks overdue. Showed more resistance the run prior when second on debut over the same trip. Can bounce back. SHIN ENDO TSUDA (14) finished out of the money two starts back then was beaten 4.5 lengths when fourth in a 1700m contest at this track two weeks ago. Finds a nice race and can play a significant role. ON THE (2) was at long odds on debut last time out and finished fourth, beaten 5.5 lengths, over 1800m at Hanshin Dirt. Among the chances. |

LE CHARMEUR (2) ran on strongly only to just miss first-up as favourite last start over 1800m at Nakayama Dirt. Will take a lot from that hitout. Yet to miss the placings in two starts over this course and distance. Ready to finally win one. Finds a tougher race but a win is not out of the question. MOONLIT ISLE (7) resumes from a spell of nine weeks. Has filled a minor placing at both first-up runs including last prep when second over 1200m at Kyoto. One of the better prospects. MELONE (16) was too good for a maiden field last start over 1200m at Chukyo, scoring by half a length. Is lightly raced and has plenty of scope for improvement. Harder here but should be involved in the finish. |
