TOP SECRET (11) is on debut for the Lucky Houdalakis stable. Two-year-old filly by Gimmethegreenlight from Canukeepitsecret. Should be primed for a strong showing. Keep an eye on betting. WITHOUT REMORSE (1) has been about the money with two minor placings from three starts this campaign, the latest a solid third over 1450m at Vaal. Should park just off the speed. Expected to be in the finish. RENDEVOUS IN RIO (2) is a five-start maiden who was close to a win before a eight months break, finishing off with a minor placing at Vaal. Expect she has come on over the break. Among the chances while fresh. SECRET LIFE (10) finished third last start over 1160m at this track, beaten 3.5 lengths. Should be peaking. Placed to advantage so expect another bold run.
2 11:50 4RACING APP MAIDEN PLATE 1160m
STORMACT (10) returned from a spell three-and-a-half weeks ago when he was beaten 4.5 lengths into fourth over 1000m at Vaal. That was a much improved run and looks to have come back well. Strips fitter and can feature. TIGER'S CAPTAIN (1) turned in a decent effort last start to finish third over 1200m at Vaal. Looks well placed so expect another big run. LIFE IN COLOUR (8) stepped out on his debut over 1200m at Vaal three-and-a-half weeks ago and finished seventh, beaten 7 lengths. Expected to be right there at the business end. WILD AS THE WIND (4) is a first-starter by Rafeef from Snug As A Bug who has been an outstanding producer including winners at black type level.
3 12:25 TAB PROTEA STAKES 1100m
Very good race. GIMME SOME LUCK (3) looked well above average on debut. Could not have been more impressive clearing out to score by a space as favourite. Has upside and can keep the ball rolling. THE BRONX BULL (6) was off the mark two back then just missed in Grade 2 company last time. The one to beat of the raced brigade. GIMME A VODKA (2) was a maiden winner three back then stakes placed in two runs since. Among the better chances. SHERLOCK HOLMES (4) is a last-start maiden winner who can measure up. Take catching.
4 01:00 TAB PRETTY POLLY STAKES 1100m
GOOD DAY SUNSHINE (1) is a boom two-year-old filly yet to taste defeat in two runs, the most recent win by a long neck over 1160m in the G2 The Fillies Nursery at this track. Rates highly and hard to knock the winning form. GET UP (3) was less than a length away in third behind her in the Fillies Nursery. Low draw and could well turn the tables with the right run. LANZAROTE (4) broke through for her maiden win over 1000m at Vaal last time, scoring comfortably. Is lightly raced and has plenty of scope for improvement. Winning rider Keagan De Melo stays aboard and she is definitely worth including. LOVE NOT WAR (5) brings the right form to this race after taking out a 1000m contest at this track last time out by 1.2 lengths. Should be involved in the finish.
5 01:35 TAB GOLD BOWL 3200m
ENFLAME (4) scored last time over 2850m in the LR Caradoc Gold Cup at this track, making it three victories from five appearances this preparation. Beat many of these by a long way. Has the pace to be in a prominent position from the outset. More weight but the one to beat again. SHOOT THE RAPIDS (1) produced a solid effort last time when second over 1750m in stakes class at Scottsville. The extra journey should play into his hands. Led throughout to win this course and distance at only try. Should be at top and will take running down. ALADDIN'S LAMP (3) is close to breaking through after three consecutive placings, the latest coming when second behind Enflame. Meets the winner much better at the weights. Big chance. POETS WARRIOR (2) resumed last time out and finished third in the same race. Meets the winner better at the weights. Won only try course and distance. Don't underestimate.
6 02:15 TAB IGUGU STAKES 2000m
OLIVIA'S WAY (1) hasn't won recently but looks close to a breakthrough based on her last start third in the G1 Champions Challenge at this track over 2000m when beaten 3.5 lengths. Great record this course and distance. Best form should see her measure right up. MINOGUE (3) finished second last time out over 1600m in the G1 Empress Club Stakes at this track, beaten 5.5 lengths. Likely to be in the finish. CALLMEGETRIX (2) impressed last start when in the money over 1600m in the G1 Empress Club Stakes at this track in a black-type race, beaten 6 lengths. Has the pace to be in a prominent position from the outset. First try this trip but one to consider. CHARGE IT (7) was beaten 18 lengths into sixth over 2450m at this track at her latest appearance. Mixing form but will run the trip right out. Can do a lot better than that last run.
7 02:50 TAB COLORADO KING STAKES 2000m
Many of these coming back in grade. ATTICUS FINCH (2) is fitter for two runs back and both have been at the top level. This much easier. Fitter and gets chance. FIRE ATTACK (1) is another who was safely held at the top level last time but this easier and gets chance to atone. FIELD MARSHAL (5) scored an impressive win last start at Listed level. Even fitter and leading rider sticks. In the mix again. HE ULTIMATE KING (4) missed the frame last time when sixth at this track. Prior to that had been in the money on two consecutive occasions. Should be poised just off the lead. Solid claims on best form. CHOISAANADA (3) is a talented galloper in great form and looks a winning chance again.
8 03:25 TAB SENOR SANTA STAKES 1160m
BUFFALO STORM CODY (1) beat many of these with ease last time. Has a top strike-rate overall and unbeaten from four tries this course and distance. Saluted last start in the G1 Computaform Sprint at this track over 1000m. Should camp just off the leaders and is the one to beat again. MOUNT PINATUBO (6) was always forward and boxed on to finish fifth over 1000m in the G1 Computaform Sprint at this track last time. No match for the winner but can feature in this line-up. Same goes for ZIYASHA (5) who finished seventh in the same race. Must be respected. WILLIAM ROBERTSON (2) was yet another to come through that race, finishing ninth and 4.5 lengths from the winner. Better than recent efforts suggest.
9 04:05 TAB CAMELLIA STAKES 1160m
GREEN DIAMOND (6) is coming off a last-start fourth, beaten 3 lengths, over 1000m at this track. That was in the Grade 1 Computaform Sprint and ran very well over the sharper trip. Won only try course and distance. This easier and will go close. DESTINY OF FIRE (5) is progressing well this preparation. Opened with a ninth at this track two starts back then landed the prize by 1.75 lengths last time out over 1450m at Vaal. Tougher race but will be strong late. CHROME TOURMALINE (4) ran sixth at her latest appearance over 1160m at this track, clocking in 3.5 lengths from the winner. Boasts a win and three minor placings from nine starts at this track and distance. Capable of playing a big role. PERFECT MIRACLE (10) is putting together some solid results. Finished third at Turffontein Inside two starts back then landed the prize by half a length as public elect last time out over 1160m at Group 3 level at this track. Progressive filly with a good record course and distance. Win chance.
10 04:40 PLAY SOCCER 6, 10 AND 13 FM 95 HANDICAP 1000m
ANCHORAGE (1) is a progressive galloper who is first-up since finishing seventh over 1200m at Vaal three-and-a-half months ago. Resuming in easier grade and placed 3/3 here. Expected to prove hard to beat. ALPINE JET (2) is close to breaking through after finishing third last start over 1000m at Vaal. Nicely placed to find winning ways. BRIGHT AND BRAZEN (3) was an emphatic winner last time over 1200m at Turffontein Inside with today's rider Mickaelle Michel engaged. This tougher but drops in weight and hard to fault recent form. Can make it three straight. JUST THE TWO OF US (4) is experiencing a long win drought, extended last start when fourth over 1000m at Vaal. Best form is third-up so anticipating a bold performance.
