Billy The Boss is the likely leader at a strong tempo. BLOOD BROTHER (3) showed good improvement at his last start, his first in WA when beaten 1.4L after flying home late in the race. Drawn inside today which may see him sit a little closer in the run. Looks well placed off his latest effort here and he can go one better now. ROYAL GUARDIAN (10) stuck on well at this track last start when 1.3L away over the 1400m journey. Drawn wide now, but she's third-up and should be peaking. Faithfull hops on board now and she's expected to make her presence felt. PRINCE OF BONDI (1) comes here fresh and on the back of a nice trial at this track recently. He's raced well here previously in stronger company despite being a maiden and Gaerth knows him well. Can fire a shot on resumption. DEEPLY ROOTED (4) is likely to get back in the run but can be finishing off strongly. LUMINOUS LADY (7) won't be far away. SUGGESTED PLAY: Blood Brother can get the job done this time. |

LIVING TURF MAIDEN 1100m
Tricky one to map with a number of debutants but over this trip there is good speed anticipated. MOJO MIO (5) has won a trial at Belmont since his latest performance 77 days ago in much stronger company. Faithfull hops on board for his return as he joins the Fernie stable. Looks well placed in this event and can play a leading role on resumption. I'M COOL TWO (7) will be fitter for three trials coming into this and showed speed in his latest heat at Belmont. Yuill hops on board for his debut and he can make an immediate impact. JEKYLL ISLAND (2) is another on resumption today and showed promising signs at the end of his last campaign. Cooper's claim comes in handy and he should get every chance from a good draw. He won't be far away. GOD'S WRATH (1) just missed last start at the 1200m journey here and is not to be discounted on the back of that effort. COCOBELLE (9) is worth keeping safe. SUGGESTED PLAY: Mojo Mio looks the one. |

GILL SMASH REPAIRS HANDICAP 1100m
Solid tempo with Nistirith to lead but under plenty of pressure in a keen early contest. STYLIN' (3) stormed home over the top to win easily at this track last start off a 49 day break. Back slightly in trip may be the query, but the stable strike jockey Tash Faithfull hops on board and this shapes similarly to last start. Can repeat the dose as she looks to have plenty of upside. DANCEWITHME (2) will find this a lot easier than his last start where she missed by 3.4L in a Saturday race at Ascot. May end up back in the run from a tricky draw, but Cooper's claim comes in handy and she'll appreciate this level. Can bounce back to winning ways. NISTIRITH (6) is hard to knock on recent form, missing by 2.6L last start after a good start to her campaign. She has enough speed to roll across from the draw after going under as the favourite last time out. Will be tough to reel in. SLIPPERY FISH (4) missed fresh without a trial and should be much improved for that effort. Can be in the finish. MARGOT'S BULLSEYE (9) can play a leading role on resumption. SUGGESTED PLAY: Stylin' looks the one to beat. |

BARNICOTT PLUMBING HANDICAP 1100m
Good pace from Science Degree, Sure Thing and Treasured Queen and they'll have company. SCIENCE DEGREE (6) has led them up this campaign, just being caught late in the race over 1200m. Back to this trip is a big bonus for him, as is the inside barrier and drop in weight. Things look to set up nicely for him here and he can go one better now. THE SHOWVINIST (7) wasn't far away over this track and trip first-up when beaten 0.9L. He'll be improved for that effort having come in without a trial. Drawn beautifully again today and he can make his presence felt. TWIST OF GOLD (9) has enough early speed to be up front from gate five as she was last time out with Faithfull on board. Second-up can be a tricky spot for her, but she was strong fresh and she's not to be discounted for this stable and jockey combo. PEARLY NUGGETT (1) won a trial here recently and usually races well fresh. Can feature. SURE THING (2) won't be far away recently. SUGGESTED PLAY: Science Degree can go one better now. |

MISTER SIGNS HANDICAP 1200m
Strong tempo with Marines Cry and Diego Dynamite leading from Favaios and Chipilly. CHIPILLY (5) bolted in fresh over 1100m and then stepped out to 1300m last start and repeated the dose. Back to 1200m here, though she possesses good early speed and will be able to offset the tricky draw. In hot form and there's no reason why she can't bring up the hat-trick. MARINES CRY (1) is another in winning form, scoring by 1.2L in a similar race last start. She was a $1.75 favourite there and Riordan's claim comes in handy. Expect her to roll forward from the barrier and be in this for a very long way. GIBRALTAR GOLD (2) got over the top to score over 1300m fresh and Yuill hops in the saddle, replacing the apprentice today. Needs some luck from the barrier but she rates highly on the latest win. Can build on that effort. THE LIONS' GATE (4) is another who'll need some luck from out wide but should be fitter now and can feature. SUNSHINE TAFE (8) is next best. SUGGESTED PLAY: Chipilly can go on with the job. |

KALGOORLIE RSL HANDICAP 1400m
Strong tempo primarily from Monty Zoomer, Please Mizter and On Just Terms over Mountain Ash and Cocoon Bay. PLEASE MIZTER (2) comes through a good race last start where he faded out of contention and finished 3L off the winner. Out to 1400m now third-up looks ideal and he's shown sharp improvement third-up in the past. Ticks plenty of boxes now and can return to winning ways. DONT WAIT FOR LUCK (1) got back and closed off nicely over 1200m at this track and steps out to a more suitable distance now. Cooper's claim comes in handy and it wouldn't surprise to see him settle up front from the inside alley. Can put his best foot forward. HIGH PRECISION (7) flew home first-up over the 1300m journey, picking up in strong order. She can go on with the job now with Riordan in the saddle. Likely to be back in the run but watch for her flying late. CAPTAIN ROGERS (8) finished off strongly last time out and can continue to build into his campaign. MONTY ZOOMER (6) was strong here fresh and can be in the finish again out in trip. SUGGESTED PLAY: Please Mizter gets the nod. |

From the wide gate Whatyoutalkinbout can cross and lead a race without a great deal of pace on paper. WHATYOUTALKINBOUT (3) jumped the odds-on favourite here 22 days ago and pulled up with an issue when disappointing. Drawn out now which is a query, but he has early speed and he showed plenty of talent in his debut campaign. Can bounce back quickly now. BONDI'S SON (12) flew home last start to just miss by 1.4L at this track and drops back to 1300m today. He's placed in both attempts over this course and distance and Riordan sticks from his last start effort. Can play a leading role. SPANGLEDSTAR (10) was too good last start when running on from midfield to win by 1.3L in a strong performance. A better draw this time helps and there's no reason why she can't go on with the job. GUARD THE MULLAH (1) is ticking along nicely and has the speed to offset the wide draw. Can feature in the finish. BUON AMICI (4) won't be far away third-up into the campaign. SUGGESTED PLAY: Going with Whatyoutalkinbout in the last. |
