THE GRIND COUNTRY BOOSTED MAIDEN PLATE 1100m
Moderate tempo with Cool As Ted leading the way. ROCK EMPEROR (3) showed good gate speed on debut with a courageous third over 1000m at Tamworth in a fast run contest. Will benefit from that experience in this easier race. Hard to hold out. KNEEL DOWN (1) back sharply in trip and failed to keep up with a plugging seventh over 900m at Wellington. Extra trip in his favour from the good draw. Improver. INDI SPRINGS (6) returns from a four-month break after showing ability in her first prep. Ran second on debut, then struggled to close off with a poor fifth over 1100m at this track. Looks ready to go following a trial win at Wellington. Capable of getting off the mark. MITAKA (7) returns from a lengthy break. Plagued by wide barriers when last in work and primed for this with the two trials. Nicely placed and can figure in the finish. INFINITE VIXON (5) Denman mare on debut for the Mulholland stable. Finished second in her latest trial over 1000m at Mudgee. Keep safe with the claim. SUGGESTED PLAY: Rock Emperor should prove too sharp for these. |

KENNARDS HIRE BENCHMARK 58 HANDICAP 1800m
Take The Chance to take up the running with Wish You Were Here and Special Prophet close at hand. WISH YOU WERE HERE (2) has an okay win record and the tongue-tie comes off for this from the low draw. Assess on her good second at Corowa three-back. Senior rider hops aboard and is one of the key runners. LUCKY STAR (6) scored a long overdue Maiden win over 1600m at Goulburn in good style on April 11. Shaping up nicely and maps well again. TOKYO QUEEN (7) struggled to run the 2000m out with a fading fourth over 2000m at Mudgee. Hard fit now and look for a much better performance. SHYLOCK (9) stretched out to the 2400m and ran below expectations with a battling fifth at Wellington. Back in class and trip and expected to go close. DEVILS DAUGHTER (3) comes out of a solid rating contest after finishing fourth over 2100m at Gosford. Leading player. SUGGESTED PLAY: Box Trifecta 2,6,7,9,3. |

LION NATHAN CLASS 1 & MAIDEN PLATE 1800m
Aerostern Bro should have enough pace to lead a low-pressure contest. TOKYO QUEEN (4) come back in trip fourth-up in what looks a winnable race. Found wanting in the straight with a tiring fourth over 2000m at Mudgee. Well in with Stiff's 2kg claim and expected to go close. LANDMARK LADY (9) best performance in fifteen starts with a tough on-pace second over 1890m at Newcastle. Maps well and doesn't have to improve much to win this. HEEZA STEVE (8) has struggled in all three runs this prep and finds an easier test from the good draw. Went out quickly and had little left in the tank with a wilting eighth over 1600m at Wyong. Finds an easier race and worth thought. AEROSTERN BRO (5) just over six weeks between runs with a plugging fourth over 1400m at Canberra. Ready for this journey from the good gate. Keep safe. CELEMAN ZOR (7) had excuses after missing the start on debut at Wellington. Blinkers can do the trick over the extra ground. SUGGESTED PLAY: Tokyo Queen has genuine each-way prospects. |

RESPECT THE DAY MAIDEN HANDICAP 1400m
Reasonable tempo with Prince De Vega probably leading but a few others should keep him honest. CHE OLE (8) sound return from the wide draw with a fighting second over 1400m at Hawkesbury. Near her top for this and can go one better from the low draw. STREET FORCE (9) motored late from back in the field with an excellent fourth over 1250m at Newcastle. Looking for this trip now and has top-three claims. HELLFIRE HENRY (5) huge effort at his second race start from the outside draw with a gritty third over 1200m at Goulburn. Fitter now and worth serious consideration over this distance. PRINCE DE VEGA (3) handy gelding close to a Maiden win. Took control early before he was nailed late when second over 1200m at Goulburn. Best figures measure up and will prove hard to run down. CAPTAINTHUNDERBOLT (2) has finished in the minor money at both career starts and stays in the mix from the soft draw. SUGGESTED PLAY: Che Ole can get the better of these second-up. |

BILL ASPROS CUP BENCHMARK 82 HANDICAP 1100m
Expecting Caravanserai to find the lead but there will be plenty of pressure over the sharp trip. PANIC (2) handy type with his hoof on the till. Can stalk the fast tempo again after finishing a close-up fourth over 1000m at Orange. Blinkers come off with the senior rider going on. Hard to hold out. WONDER STEP (8) is a distance specialist who failed to handle the tight Gundagai track with a poor twelfth over 1180m. Gets in light with Stiff's claim and can bounce back quickly over his pet trip. RAVALLI (1) is a five-year-old gelding having his first run for the Rob Potter yard. Resumes after finishing a poor eleventh over 1200m at Morphettville. Goes well at the trip and can surprise fresh with the tongue-tie coming off. FEIRME PRINCE (4) was a month between runs with a close-up fifth over 1280m at Muswellbrook. Drops in weight and has an okay record at this course. SCOPICS (5) good fresh gelding who will relish the fast tempo. SUGGESTED PLAY: Box Quinella 2,8,1,4. |

BATHURST RSL SOLDIER'S SADDLE - CLASS 4 HANDICAP 1400m
Without an obvious leader, it may be left to Deepwater Artist, Unreal Expectation and Wal's Angels to control the tempo. A BOY NAMED SOO (10) consistent Mudgee-trained gelding racing in career best form. Kept fresh when he stormed home over the top of them to salute over 1600m at Orange. Back in trip and has a good record over this course and distance. Genuine contender in this tougher race. WAL'S ANGELS (6) handy gelding who made up good ground late with a slashing fifth over 1180m at Gundagai. Comes to hand quickly and looks set for a good campaign. NOISES (7) fourth-up today and struggling to draw a decent gate. Never on the track with the 59kg with a struggling ninth over 1600m at Hawkesbury. Tongue-tie comes off and the winkers go on. Can take a hand in the finish. PICK UP THE TAB (2) failed to fire in his two runs back from wide gates. Fitter now out to his right trip and sure to be thereabouts. DEEPWATER ARTIST (4) improving gelding drawn out for this. Place best on the quick back-up. SUGGESTED PLAY: Box Quinella 10,6,7,2. |

THE DIGGERS BAR COUNTRY BOOSTED CLASS 1 HANDICAP 1200m
Genuine tempo from Leila Belle leading Stormy Swey. STERN REMINDER (2) lightly raced gelding with the upside to keep the winning momentum going. Ploughed through the heavy (8) going with a dominant victory over 1200m at Nowra. Has the speed to get across in a fairly average Class 1. GO COMMANDO (3) set to peak third-up after he tired late with a close-up sixth over 1200m at Wagga. Drops in weight with the blinkers going on. Leading prospect. JAMACRI (6) doesn't win out of turn but stays in the mix after savaging the line with a narrow second over 1100m at Wellington. Can race a touch closer today and no shock to see her take this out. THE CONTRACTOR (1) jumped in class with a tough on-pace second over 1200m at Mudgee. Back in his right grade and has genuine winning prospects. TROOPER (5) confidence is high now after he got off the mark at start nine at Canberra. Maps well again. SUGGESTED PLAY: Stern Reminder will prove hard to stop again. |
