TAKENO ROYAL (3) made progress last start to finish second over 1400m at this track after being prominent at the turn. Likely improver with strong prospects. CIEL LA VICTOIRE (4) started at $5 last time and ran below expectations, finishing fifth and beaten 4 lengths at this track over 1400m after being in the firing line on the turn. Nicely placed to bounce back. AMAMOTO (8) was in the money two starts back at Urawa but was unable to repeat the effort last time when eighth, beaten 14 lengths, at Urawa over 1500m. Looks well placed so expect a better run this time.
