Genuine tempo with Combat Taurus leading the way. COMBAT TAURUS (1) resumes today after closing off last preparation with three consecutive wins, the latest over 1400m at this track on May 30. Ken Takagi who has four wins when partnering stays on. Among the leading chances. L'ECRIN SOURIRE (2) did a great job to score by 2.5 lengths over this course and distance last start to maintain her good form of late. Meets a stronger field but she is good enough to figure in the finish. COSMO JOSEPH (8) was out of the money when resuming from a spell last start over 1200m at Niigata Dirt. Strips fitter and can make amends here in easier. STANLEY (5) hasn't been able to break through for a while, the latest effort a sixth over 1600m at this track. Good enough on his day and can play a prominent role.
