Expecting French Navy to take up the lead at a genuine tempo. Tricky race. MALE MODEL (8) was well beaten at Sandown Hillside when last seen after getting back from a wide barrier but had been going okay prior in better races than this, not far away in some better BM64s. Draws softly here and finds the right race to bounce back. DIGARI (3) may not have handled the heavy going second up at Bendigo off a solid return win. He'll be much fitter now and if it's not bottomless, he should improve. GOLDEN MIKKI (6) was a narrow winner at Warracknabeal in easier company last time out but is racing well and should run another honest race. FRENCH NAVY (4) is a lightly raced type who will find this easier than last start in town. The maiden win here prior was good and he should take plenty of catching with Meech aboard. SUGGESTED PLAY: Male Model on top.
