Without a great deal of early pace evident Nay Pee Cee may lead the way over Tabor. TABOR (6) has switched to Joe Cleary from a Victorian stable on a 40-day return. Finds easier and kicking off at a mile shouldn't be a bother. Has pieces of form good enough if he's presented on-song. SHALAA JET (5) won a Wyong Maiden over this distance before the spell. Resumed over the trip at Newcastle on a heavy track and needed the outing. He has the inside gate and a 2kg claim, and quick improvement is likely. NAY PEE CEE (2) led beaten less than 2L at Scone and will be better for that. Jess Taylor sticks aboard, and he should go close. NORTOKO (11) is Sydney-trained and will also be better for his first-up run. Still a Maiden, but maps well and sitting at the bottom of the handicap has shown enough to consider at a price. SUGGESTED PLAY: Tabor looks ready to go.
