SHIMIZU MINATO (6) wound up strongly last time out to finish 0.6 lengths adrift in third over 1500m at this track when returning from a break. Norifumi Mikamoto stays on. Fitter should be hard to stop. STEEL CANNON (5) returns from a spell. Finished third at this track and distance at his only appearance last prep four months ago. Proving a good combination with Akira Harita with four straight placings. Bold showing expected. BLADE RUNNER (2) missed the placings last start when sixth over 1200m at this track. Has the talent to figure prominently. PEDUNCLE ARCH (1) drew wide and was pretty plain last time out when sixth at this course and distance. Better than that last effort and can make amends.
