Off the low draw Showlas is likely to find the lead at a slick tempo. UNCLE GERARD (6) finished 1L off the winner last start at Bunbury when flashing home late in the race as favourite. He'll need a touch of luck from the gate with his racing pattern, however he's raving in top order and a win looks just around the corner. SHOWLAS (8) led them up on the main track here last start in a CL5 and was only gunned down late in the race. The inside barrier can see her on the speed and she'll prove tough to run down. CANNY JACK (9) has just missed his past couple when flying home late in the race. He may be able to position himself closer from the barrier today and with some luck, he'll go close. GAGE ROADS (4) is knocking on the door of another victory, racing in good order recently. Winkers go back on now and he won't be far away. MYSTICAL MAN (7) trialled well coming in and while he's expected to be better over further, he can run a cheeky race on resumption. SUGGESTED PLAY: Siding with Uncle Gerard in the finale.
