Expecting a solid tempo set up by Bergasun crossing from the outside stall. Shane Jackson is a trainer doing great things early in his career, especially with stayers, and BERGASUN (3) looks one who has more upside than his rivals here. Broke his maiden over this distance and the four runs since, which have included a couple of second placings, have been adequate for a race of this nature. Looks awkwardly drawn but has gone forward from wide gates in the past, so should be prominent again. KEEVS (6) is an out-and-out stayer who showed promise early in his career and while he hasn't yet risen to the heights some thought, he resumed with a great first-up second over 1600m. He'll relish the rise to 2200m. PROSHOW (2) disappointed last start after a nice maiden win but stayed at 1600m and is ready for a step up in trip. Similarly, USK VALLEY (7) was down the track after a maiden win but looks better suited here. TOSEN GLORY (11) can pull out the odd good run, like two starts back, and is drawn well. SUGGESTED PLAY: Bergasun to win.
