VILLA JOVIS (5) raced handy on debut last start and gave a good sight, holding on for third and beaten 4 lengths over 1800m at Hakodate. Big chance based on that effort. JUST BEAT (4) finished out of the money two starts back then was beaten 6 lengths when fifth over 1800m at Hakodate two weeks ago. Likely improver with strong prospects. CENDOL (8) missed the placings on debut then improved last start but found a couple better over 1800m at Hakodate, beaten 4 lengths after being in the firing line on the bend. Nicely placed to feature in the finish. RASHID (2) finished out of the money on debut two starts back then was beaten 10 lengths when sixth in a 1800m contest at Hakodate two weeks ago after being prominent at the corner. Nicely placed to get the prize.
