The Wizard King should lead at a slick tempo. IMMINANCE (7) showed a lot of promise early in her career and lost his way a touch after breaking the maiden but returned to form in a big way last start. Seemed to relish the Soft 7 surface and with the prospect of similar, or even worse, conditions here there's no reason she can't go on with it. THE WIZARD KING (2) is a regular in this grade and has an on-pace racing style that generally affords him his chance and this is easier than a number of his recent assignments. DARCEANDERMILL (3) got back into the winner's stall last start, albeit in BM52 grade, but should derive confidence from that and can feature again. SURFY PETE (4) is a hard horse to follow, but might be up for an improved showing after disappointing last start and will appreciate the 2kg claim for Sarah Field. HUGHIE (1) is the highest-rated horse in the race and drops back from 64 grade, which could spark an improved performance. SUGGESTED PLAY: Imminance each way.
