Strong tempo with Apache Chief, Sunset Warrior and Walled Garden leading the charge. WALLED GARDEN (15) produced a creditable comeback run over 1200m on this course last start. He would have come on from the run and should strip much fitter. He should love the rise to 1500m. Julius Mariba retains the ride and he may be the horse to cause the upset. SOVEREIGNS CALL (8) last two starts have been fair. He stayed on well at the finish over 1400m on this course last time. Gavin Lerena is booked to ride and he may be able to coax that little bit extra out of him when it matters most. LIBECCIO (13) has won once and finished third once from as many starts over this distance. Has to be respected. CALIDA (9) last two starts have been good. He is having his peak run today and should be cherry-ripe. He should be fighting out the finish.
