Solid tempo anticipated with Ronny Rock Art heading them off. GOLDEN HONOUR (2) led in a change of tactics last start and responded by recording a tough win over 1300m at Taree. Raced once over this trip and filled a minor placing. Has a hefty 62.5 kgs to contend with but if allowed to roll along in front he will be tough to beat again. TALANA (3) has raced well all prep without success. Found the lead a fair way out but was swamped late and finished fourth last time out over 1400m at Casino. Back in grade today and draws a better gate so he is right in the mix despite the big weight. SPILLS (5) led and wouldn't lie down but found one better over 1430m at Grafton recently. Genuine gelding with each-way claims. VENCE (9) led for home but fell in a heap over the mile at Scone last start. Fitter for two runs back from a spell so he deserves another chance. TRUE FAIRY (8) has a win and a placing from two tries at this distance. Strips fitter and should be competitive. SUGGESTED PLAY: Golden Honour on top in a difficult race.
