Expecting Valadon to take up the lead at a genuine tempo. REBECCA RAINBOW (7) pushed forward from a wide draw last time and sat just off the lead, eventually drawing away to score by a nose over 1230m at this track. Will be tough to rein in again. VALADON (2) was ridden positively and led throughout to score over 1400m at this track last time. Winning rider aboard again and is a leading hope. TASSEL (1) started at $3.50 last time on the back of a win two starts ago but was below his best, finishing sixth over 1700m at this track. Has started three times at this course and distance and is yet to miss the placings. Nicely placed to bounce back. BLACK CHOCO (5) was a real eye-catcher last start, coming from the tail over 1400m at this track to finish 0.8 lengths from the winner in second. Has been in sound form this prep with a win and four minor placings from nine outings. Not to be discounted.
