Nothing to run them along so the pace looks even at best. DESERT COUGAR (7) easily won her maiden over this distance at Tamworth two runs ago. Was handy on the bend but dropped out when she stepped up to 1200m at Grafton last start. Worth another chance back at five furlongs. DIAMONDSAREMIO (1) progressed nicely last time out when second-up from a break, picking up in good style to be beaten narrowly over 1200m at Moree. Heading the right way so despite coming back in trip she looms as a genuine winning hope. BOAMBEE BEACH (2) hasn't won for a while, with recent efforts a bit hot and cold. Finds a nice race and he has placed four of six at Coffs so he can play a big role without surprising. WANJINA ROSE (9) was snagged back from a wide alley and failed to get involved at Grafton last time. Three-time winner here with good form at the journey so don't rule her out. BIANCO NERO (3) resumes. Will be better for the run and needs more ground but can sneak into the frame. SUGGESTED PLAY: Desert Cougar to win.
