Genuine tempo with Cardiologist to lead but under plenty of pressure in a keen early contest. Competitive. PRINCESS TORO (11) just missed in a 64 before the spell and resumed in a CL1 with a 1.6L defeat at Cranbourne as a well-supported favourite. Strips fitter and she won her only second-up outing. She will position forward and will be hard to roll. MY ANGEL SHELL (8) disappointed here last time but had been tracking well prior. His best is good enough and Jon Allen sticking aboard is a positive. The blinkers are off and the winkers go on. SWANNY DEE (6) found more like his best placing at Seymour and didn't have the best of it. He will give away a start, but Williams is booked and that's a decent push for his chances. CARDIOLOGIST (1) led and won this grade comfortably from the front at Hamilton. The 2kg claim is handy and it's hard to risk a leading metro barn. SUGGESTED PLAY: Princess Toro appeals most.
