A race that lacks early pressure on paper. YENDY (3) last appeared when beaten just 2.5 lengths in a Class 5 over 1200m at Doomben twenty-three days ago. Gets in beautifully with 2kgs less today after the claim. Honest mare who will be peaking at the fourth run back from a spell. OCEAN ALPS (1) started favourite and ran on well but just missed in open company last time out at Casino. Comes back a little in trip which isn't a concern. Perfectly drawn and poses a serious threat. XTRA APPROVAL (2) made late ground to get up for second in this grade at Taree recently. Very fit gelding who is a chance again over this slightly longer journey. BOW (5) was safely held last start in a BM82 at Inverell when coming off a forty-day break. Capable sprinter with each-way claims. Track specialist MONTE OUTLANDER (8) will be better for this run but can never be ruled out when racing at Coffs. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Yendy.
