Solid tempo headed by Simurgh and Factcheck. FACTCHECK (8) goes on top. He's fresh into this having been turned over at $2.10 when last seen at Sandown Lakeside. He was a bit disappointing there but his form prior, especially here on the bigger track, reads very well and he maps for every chance. SUNSETS (1) was okay as favourite in the Kerang Cup last time out, having been good early in his campaign in town. He needs to find his best now but he's certainly up to winning. RISING STAR (12) made his local debut here over 1400m and ran well for a narrow second. She'll improve up in trip and take beating. GIGGENBACH (9) resumes. She'll get over further but can hit the line well fresh. SIMURGH (10) is an import making his local debut for the Hayes yard who can run well, watch the market. SUGGESTED PLAY: Factcheck to win.
