Looks a decent tempo with Scrumptious, Henry's Blade and Guac On leading the charge. SCRUMPTIOUS (12) switched from a top Sydney stable and didn't do a bad job at Doomben, well-supported off a 28-day freshen. Her Sydney metro form prior makes good reading, and Ben Thompson sticks aboard. She will jump and run from an inside barrier and has the numbers to win. MATAWAI (6) resumes and has switched from a leading Victorian stable. She's raced well in better than this and has won 2/4 fresh, and 3x over this distance. Owns a solid trial and will go close if the money comes. GUAC ON (11) has looked in need of racing but will be sharper stepping up to a longer sprint. Has the early speed to use the inside gate to advantage and weight relief this grade. His best would see him in the finish. FORT WILLIAM (10) resumed in a 65 at the Gold Coast, beaten 2.2L when expected to need the outing. Proven second up and has pieces of form that would see him well in the mix. Maps well and carries 4kg less today. SUGGESTED PLAY: Scrumptious to win.
