Just a moderate tempo headed by Coyote, Monty Be Quick and Chilly Charlie. MIDORI GIANT (1) former Hong Kong-trained gelding who was heavily supported at his first run back in Australia with a slashing victory over 1600m at Hawkesbury. Looks up to this stiffer test from the awkward barrier. Genuine top-three contender. FIGHTING MAGNUS (12) tough old gelding starting to hit a bit of form. Won by 6 lengths at Taree two-back, then savaged the line with a tidy fourth over this track and trip. Reith keeps the ride and can race a touch closer from the draw. Must respect. KEEP AT 'EM (9) jumped in trip and was disappointing third-up with a plugging fifth over 1625m at Wyong. Up further in trip for this and look for him launching late on the home track. ALLAPERCANTO (2) has his hoof on the till in this slightly easier race. Back in grade when held up slightly in the straight to finish a close-up fifth over 1600m here. Will go back from the gate and swoop with the 3kg claim. Each-way. SUGGESTED PLAY: Midori Giant has the class to win again.
