Solid tempo headed by Holdout and Maximum Impact. HUNDRED YARDS (1) was too good last time out, scoring by 2L at his first attempt over this track and trip to break his maiden. He rates highly on the back of that effort and Whittington remains on board. This looks to set up similarly and he looks to get every chance to bring up back-to-back wins. ANNA'S BOY (3) stepped up to 1920m last start and didn't see out the trip on that occasion. He hasn't won for a while, but Azzopardi replaces the apprentice hoop. Back in trip looks to suit and he can play a leading role. LEAD BY EXAMPLE (9) comes here off a freshen after disappointing at her last start before the break. She'll be fitter for a recent trial and while this trip is short of her best, her racing figures look strong if she can resume in similar fashion. OPAL NERO (11) is better than he showed last start and can bounce back to form. MAXIMUM IMPACT (10) won't be far away. SUGGESTED PLAY: Hundred Yards gets the nod.
