Moderate pace with Hurricane Rosie rolling to the lead and setting the tempo. AUTUMN HEIR (6) ran his best race, narrowly beaten over 1915m at Ballina. Peaks for this, and Ryan Maloney is a key jockey switch. In good hands and can go one better. KALKANLI (3) is an improver who raced handy beaten a nose in a 60 this track and trip. Maps well enough and won't have to improve much to feature. VERMILION KIRIN (1) is a leader and followed a nice effort over 1800m at the Gold Coast with an easy win at Beaudesert over 2450m, as expected. He raced as the favourite here last time this trip in a 65 but folded up badly. Prepared to forgive that, and he will roll over and control the race. Has a handy 2kg claim in easier and is a chance to bounce. HURRICANE ROSIE (7) missed a nose this distance range at Grafton three back and hasn't featured in better class since. Better suited and the inside barrier will advantage. SUGGESTED PLAY: Autumn Heir to win.
