Speed assured from Go Russian, Reign 'Em In and Russian Words pressing on ahead of The Way Ahead. ARTEMEX (3) resumes in a much weaker contest against the older horses. Started hard in the market on debut ($3.70), when sat midfield and failed to stretch out with a disappointing eighth in the G3 Golden Gift over 1100m at Rosehill last November. Back with the two trials and looks capable of taking this out. REIGN 'EM IN (2) kept safe on debut and ran accordingly with a fighting on-pace second over 1000m at Wyong in a solid contest. Sits on the fast tempo and further improved here from the good gate. GO RUSSIAN (6) eleven-start Maiden deep in the prep. Showed her usual early gate speed with a much improved third over 900m at this track. Has a good record on her home track and is sure to be thereabouts. THE WAY AHEAD (9) far from disgraced on the heavy (8) surface with a plugging fourth over 1000m at Nowra. Placed over this track and trip three-back. Stays in the calculations. SUGGESTED PLAY: Artemex and Reign 'Em In can fight it out.
