Good speed anticipated with a large representation of first starters lining up. ARTEMEX (1) resumes in a much weaker contest. Started hard in the market on debut ($3.70), when sat midfield and failed to stretch out with a disappointing eighth in the G3 Golden Gift over 1100m at Rosehill last November. Back with the two trials and looks capable of rounding them up. MYSTICAL (8) is a talented filly who resumes after finishing second two-back to Paradoxium at Wyong last December. Kept fresh from the wide gate with a battling tenth to Unit Five over 1200m in the Magic Millions 2yo Classic at the Gold Coast. Back with the one trial and has the class to overcome the sticky gate. HANDLOOM (5) third-up for this with a fitness edge from the inside gate. Just under a month between runs when she knocked up late to run fourth over 1000m at Gosford. Genuine each way player. TI AMO (10) is a two-year-old filly by Zoustar from Platinum Bullet on debut for the Bjorn Baker yard. Recent trials had merit and stays in the mix. SUGGESTED PLAY: Artemex is expected to go close in his second campaign.
