MISS NOVAX (2) is racing well without being able to break through, the latest effort a third over 1450m at this track a week-and-a-half ago. Has a win and two minor placings at this trip from four starts so she is a leading contender. LOVABLE (7) missed the placings two runs back then improved last start but found one better over 1000m at this track, beaten 3 lengths. Looks well placed so expect another big run. QUIET WINTER (8) finished third at this track two runs back but was less effective last time over 1400m at Turffontein Standside, finishing 6 lengths back in tenth. Open to improvement and should be about the money.
