Strong tempo with No Ragrets, Amoruso and Dance Gavin Dance going forward ahead of Permission Denied and Clan D'oro. AUSTRALASIA (5) returned from a two-month let-up last start when down the track at Doomben. Form prior to that run was rock solid. Back in grade today and should tighten up so a much better run is on the cards. TOO HOT TO TORQUE (1) last appeared when he demolished a maiden field over 1210m at Lismore last September. Has been gelded over the break and trialled well recently. Likely to go on to better things this time in work. DANCE GAVIN DANCE (2) returned from an eight-week lay-off with a decisive maiden victory over this course and distance recently. Hard to know if the heavy track flattered that performance, but he deserves the benefit of the doubt. AMORUSO (4) led and just failed to hold on over today's journey at Port Macquarie last start. In the mix with a repeat of that effort. BARRON (7) has raced 43 times for just one win. Returned with a decent performance last time - maybe one for the exotics. SUGGESTED PLAY: Australasia to return to form and take this out.
