Solid tempo anticipated with Quick Shot heading them off. O'CALDINO (5) returned a good figure two back at the Sunshine Coast over 1800m when just edged out of the placings in a tight finish. Has only won once in 27 starts which is concerning, but in an even field he is right in contention. AUTUMN HEIR (1) has worked home well without threatening in his two runs this time in work. Fitter now and will appreciate getting out to this more suitable journey. KISS'N DANCE (2) lined up for the 12th time last start and finally broke the ice, scrambling home over 1720m at Grafton. Will enjoy the extra trip and can keep the ball rolling. HEADSTRONG (10) hasn't won for a while but did catch the eye in the closing stages last start over 1666m at Ipswich. Untried beyond that distance but it should suit based on that latest effort. MONTEVECCHIO (4) is in the mix at his third appearance in 13 days. SUGGESTED PLAY: O'caldino each-way.
