Fast tempo assured with Silent War, King's Express and Teo Torriatte going toe-to-toe. SILENT WAR (3) is better than his last start run over 1450m would suggest. Gavin Lerena is booked to ride and he may be able to coax that little bit extra out of him when it matters most. HAWKBILL (2) should have finished closer last time as the saddle slipped in the running. It is encouraging that Craig Zackey steps back into the saddle and he is a leading chance. KING'S EXPRESS (1) was squeezed leaving the start last time, but stayed on well to finish second. Has each-way claims. MOUNT DARWIN (4) was running on when second over 1600m on the Classic course last time. He is having his peak run today and should be fighting out the finish.
