He stayed on well when third over this course and distance last time. The 5yo gelding drops back in class and if this run has not come too soon, he can notch up his third-career victory. STEP INTO IT (1) made the expected natural improvement when winning his maiden over 1600m on the Turffontein Inside course. He is likely to be settled near the rear of the field from the widest draw. He takes on stronger rivals but he should love the rise to 2000m and has plenty of scope. FLAG BEARER (3) is better than his last start run over 1600m on the straight course would suggest. On best form shown he may be hard to peg back. BOB LEE SWAGGER (6) returns from a 16-week spell. He has won once and finished second once from three starts over this distance. If not in need of the run he should give a good account of himself.
