Moderate pace from Lady Tiara taking it up with Shitan and Splendente on her back. SPLENDENTE (9) was well fancied when resuming last start over 1200m at this track, when third, beaten 4.5 lengths. She strips fitter, and can take this out. LADY TIARA (1) was in the money two starts back at this track but was unable to repeat the effort last time when seventh here last time out over 1200m after being in contention on the turn. Finds a nice race and can bounce back. LAMBENT LIGHT (3) turned in a fine effort to score by 3 lengths at this course and distance last start in a much improved run. Facing a tougher assignment, but she is good enough to cope. HAKUAI ATHENA (5) ran below her best last start when finishing a sound sixth from a wide draw over today's course and distance. Solid top-three hope if he can secure the right run early on.
